I have heard so many great things about Agatha Christie and her classic mystery novels. I thought it was high time I read one of her books.
This particular novel was a quick read, but I have to admit that it took me a while to get through. This novel was originally published in 1920, so you can imagined that the writing style is a bit different from most novels today. I was never very good at reading old classics and actually understanding what was going on.
I took my time with this novel because it was well-written and who doesn’t love a good mystery? The mystery itself was good, though there were quite a few characters. I got confused with a few of the characters throughout the novel.
Overall, it was a good read. I do plan on reading more of her books.
The Mysterious Affair at Styles gets 4 out of 5 stars.
