Short Story Sunday 295: Center

Piper held up the banner and straightened it out as best she could. The banner was over three feet long and her arm span couldn’t stretch that far to make sure it was completely flat against the wall, let alone not cooked. “How’s this?” she grunted with her chest and one side of her cheek pressed against the wall as she was completely stretched...

Blog Prep For 2019

2019 is right around the corner. I have no idea where 2018 went… I don’t even know where December is going. I can’t believe we’re just about halfway through the month. It’s crazy. December has always been a month of reflection and prep for me. Looking back of all that I’ve accomplished this year and looking ahead to see how I can improve and...

“Special” – A Summary [NaNoWriMo 2017]

I’m not good at writing summaries. Or blurbs. Or synopses. Whatever you want to call it. I try to whip up a decent one for my blog and for my NaNo page every year. Obviously, I think it’s nice that other people know what I’m writing about. If anyone cares at all. I usually come up with something good enough once I finish outlining....

Time To Write: To The Fullest

Last week’s prompt was Drama. Here’s mine: Graduation day from high school was the best day of my life. I no longer had to spend seven hours of my day listening to teachers lecture and I no longer needed to be around any of my classmates. The girls were always too caught up with their looks and the boys. The boys were always too...

New Chapter

I have written plenty of posts where I discuss how plans change, schedules are disrupted, and routines need a break once in a while. Yesterday was voting day so I had the day off from work. I was excited because I wanted to spend the day relaxing, reading, and writing. Yesterday was March first, so it was a new month as well with new...

Poirot Investigates (Hercule Poirot 3) By Agatha Christie [Book Review – Mystery Month]

poirot_banner

I bought a paperback copy from Barnes & Noble. Summary: First there was the mystery of the film star and the diamond… then came the ‘suicide’ that was murder… the mystery of the absurdly cheap flat… a suspicious death in a locked gun-room… a million dollar bond robbery… the curse of a pharaoh’s tomb… a jewel robbery by the sea… the abduction of a...

Day 10

23,081/50,000 Words Huh. It’s been a few days, hasn’t it? Well, the reason I haven’t updated this thing is because I haven’t written anything since my last post, which was Day 6 (Tuesday). I had a huge writing day on Tuesday and I was very proud of myself…except that I haven’t written since. This is what happened: Tuesday I wrote while in school. After...

I’ve been writing since I was 10-years-old because I wanted to copy my older sister. Originally starting with Ninja Turtle fan fiction, writing stuck with me throughout the years as I honed my skills in the craft and let my imagination run wild. I like to write in a few different genres, though I mostly write mystery as well as short stories and/or flash fiction. In 2022 I won the “Qutex Young Author for the year” award. I also wrote many articles for different sites. One example can be found here.
