Friday: I babysat in the early afternoon for a couple of hours. The dad got surgery on his ear so I was needed to keep the peace while the mom was at the hospital with him. I kicked butt in Monopoly, watched the boys play some video games, and watched the oldest dye his hair pink… yeah. In my defense, the parents said it was...

Last week’s prompt was Talk The Talk, all about dialogue and little description. Here’s mine, a quick short story: “What is going on here?!” Emily wondered. “We… I mean, I… Um…” Nathan stammered rubbing the back of his neck embarrassed. “I can’t believe you guys did this! Put the animals back in their cage right now!” Emily demanded. “We will, we promise. We just...

Honestly, I think this is the most work I’ve done for a NaNo novel before the actual challenge begins. Anyway, here’s what I’ve done so far to prepare for The Lost Girl. I created a map of characters as well as a map of places. This is something...

Editing Goals

I’ve been editing my novel, George Florence, since the beginning of January. I’ve been doing really well keeping up with my routine. I’ve been editing every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning. Saturdays I’m able to edit more and I go to the bookstore to do it sometimes. I wanted to have the whole draft completed by January 15, but I still have about 50 or...

I’ve been writing since I was 10-years-old because I wanted to copy my older sister. Originally starting with Ninja Turtle fan fiction, writing stuck with me throughout the years as I honed my skills in the craft and let my imagination run wild. I like to write in a few different genres, though I mostly write mystery as well as short stories and/or flash fiction. In 2022 I won the “Qutex Young Author for the year” award. I also wrote many articles for different sites. One example can be found here.
