October 2016 Wrap Up

12 April 2023

Reading

I got all of my reading done for the month, plus read a little extra! Apparently, it was a good month for reading. My Reading List has been updated if you want to see what I read and reviewed this month.

Writing

I don’t even know what I got done this month, writing-wise. I actually got a lot done in this department!

I finished writing the first draft of The Lost Girl and gave it a quick read through and edit. I made a list of editing and research notes for myself, but I didn’t make any drastic changes. I gave it to Kris and she’s going to critique it for me during the next month.

I also planned out my whole George Florence series. I still have a bit more to do on it, but I should be able to start the official edits in December. I don’t dare try to edit it during NaNo in November.

I also planned out my prompts for the Short Story Sunday 2017 for the blog since I’ll be writing those for NaNo.

I wrote, edited, and submitted a short story to a contest. I also edited another short story and submitted that to a different contest.

I was on a roll this month!

Blogging

I finished my October posts early and got a head start on my November posts. The ones that can be written in advance for November are all done. Graphics included. I’m also almost finished with a new feature that will be announced in the middle of November. So I’m excited for that!

Overall

October was great. I can’t believe how much I accomplished this month. I have a plan for the rest of 2016, so hopefully I can keep up this momentum without burning myself out. But I’m proud with how much I did!
