Write about your main character doing a strange hobby they have. Or maybe they’re trying to explain their hobby to someone or someone else is witnessing them doing it. Or your protagonist is witnessing someone else do something strange.
Think outside the box. Don’t give your character the hobby of playing video games or something, have them collect the buttons that pop off their shirt even though they don’t know how to sew. Think of something out of the ordinary.
