Last week’s prompt was a Sentence Starter.
Tyrosha wrote a fun piece on their blog, Life. In Light Eternity.
Nthato wrote a dark piece on his blog, A-Scribe To Describe.
Nicci Hargie also wrote a cool piece in response in the comments:
I woke up that and the heavy drag in the pit of my bowels acted as a warning to my memory of the night before. Sleep blurred my sight which causes me to blink . The silence in my room ended by a crude snore coming from behind me. I froze. I live alone. I wanted to move, look behind me. What if I woke them? My door was close, I could get to the door before the sleeping intruder realised what was happening. Taking a deep breath I counted down from three, my body sprung into action at the count of one, I threw my door open and leapt into the hallway. Taking two steps at a time I raced downstairs and out the front door into the street. The heavy thud of footfalls caused me to jump into action. I needed to run, fast. In bare feet I sprinted up the street, I didn’t look behind me, I didn’t want to see if I was being chased. A gust of wind pushed against me, I couldn’t breathe. I could hear the foot steps gaining on me. I won’t be caught, I can’t. I’m still young, I have so much I needed to do. In the distance I heard a siren, with my last ounce of energy I upped my pace, I could see a police car, relief escaped me causing a strange scream I didn’t recognise to escape from my lips. The siren changed tone to an alarming bleep. I woke up, my mother was sitting on my bed and behind her a wedding gown hanging on my door. “Get up love, it’s your wedding day” I looked behind me, my bed empty. My door was close, on the count of three I sprang out of bed and out of my bedroom, leaving a surprised mum behind I ran for my life.
Thanks guys!
Now onto this week’s prompt…
This week’s prompt is pretty simple.
Write a story including the words red, blue, and yellow.
You can describe something, use the colors as a theme for a story, or just have some characters having a conversation. It’ll be interesting to see what you guys come up with.
Feel free to post your story in the comments below. I’d love to see what you come up with. If you respond by Thursday, March 10, I’ll post your story and a link to your blog for next week’s Time to Write prompt.
Happy writing!
