Last week’s prompt was a sentence starter: “He slammed on the brakes…”
Bawstories submitted a sad tale:
He slammed on the breaks and stared, wide eyed, out of the windshield as the mist danced around in the headlights. He was sure he couldn’t have missed it. He thought about taking off, someone else could deal with it. But the nagging of his Conscience kept him parlayed as he wrestled with him self to take off.
There was a sudden blaring off a horn, and another set of headlights suddenly blazed into life in his rearview mirror and then… He knew no more.
Nthato wrote a cool story on the blog, A-Scribe to Describe.
Nicky wrote a fun twist on the blog, Chasing Dreams Publishing.
Thanks, guys!
Now onto this week’s prompt…
Since it’s Camp NaNoWriMo all month long, I’ve decided to do some prompts to help boost the word count of your novel. Of course, whether you’re participating in Camp or not you can still do this exercise.
This week I want you to use three specific words in the next chapter or so:
Books
Words
Challenge
Good luck!
Feel free to post your story in the comments below. I’d love to see what you come up with. If you respond by Thursday, April 14, I’ll post your story and a link to your blog for next week’s Time to Write prompt.
Happy writing!
