The Last Lumenian is a solid science fiction and fantasy YA novel. The overall plot was unique enough (even with the romance trope but it was done well) and I enjoyed exploring this new world.
I’ll admit I was a bit lost in the beginning and had trouble getting into the story at first. There is a glossary at the back of the book, which was helpful. A lot happened in this story and it was quite the page-turner.
My only gripe was that I felt the protagonist was a bit annoying at times. I didn’t care too much for her voice, but there was enough character development by the end, that I was able to deal with it.
Overall, if you’re looking for a new fantasy read, give this one a go. You won’t be disappointed.
