I was tagged to do this by the lovely Jen from Combustible Reviews well over a month ago. I’m finally getting around to doing it now. Thanks Jen!
1. Water: A book you simply cannot live without.
The Warriors series by Erin Hunter. I started reading this series when it first came out when I was very young. I’m still reading it to this day. Though I’m trying to catch up in the series… There are just so many books!
2. Food: A book that is a close second on your favorites list.
Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen. Sarah Dessen does amazing work. Enough said.
3. Shelter: A book that makes you feel at home and safe.
Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. I only just read this book recently, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Peter Pan and Neverland. Neverland is a place I would love to live if given the chance.
4. Flare gun: A book you would recommend to a person who doesn’t read.
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. This book is just so close to the heart that anyone could read it and enjoy it.
5. Fire-matches: A book that warms your heart.
The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I could read those books over and over again. There’s always something new to discover with that series. I love each and every character as though I know them in real life. I wish I knew them in real life.
6. Compass: A book that directed you towards your love for reading.
Is it cheating if I repeat books? Probably, but I’m going to do it anyway. The Warriors series (again) by Erin Hunter. I didn’t read much as a kid. I liked the idea of reading, but would rather play video games. The first Warriors book came out when I was in sixth grade. The series is still going on and I’m still reading it after all these years.
I feel as though most of my “books” were entire series, but no one said I couldn’t take more than six books with me on this desert island. Plus I reused a series.
Thanks again Jen for including me in this tag! If you would like to be a part of it, feel free. If you participate, let me know in the comments. I’d love to see your answers.
