“I love you from the bottom of my heart, but I don’t trust your cooking.” Ryan swung a spatula in Vanessa’s face.
Vanessa ducked her head out of the way and smirked at her brother. “I’m only trying to help.”
Ryan placed the spatula down on the counter and walked over to Vanessa. He grabbed her by the shoulders and turned her around towards the archway to the living. “You’re getting in my way.”
Vanessa couldn’t help but smile. She couldn’t believe her older brother was being so anal about baking cupcakes. The baking itself was already done, they just needed to frost and decorate them. How hard could that be?
As Ryan steered Vanessa across the kitchen, she stretched out her arm and stuck her finger into the chocolate frosting.
Ryan immediately grabbed her elbow and shoved her out of the way, but there was still a wad of frosting covering her index finger. Before Ryan could do or say anything, Vanessa stuck her finger her mouth.
She moaned happily at the cocoa taste and giggled. “Wow, Ryan. You make really good frosting. Can I get the recipe sometime?”
“Not now! Are your hands even clean?” Ryan narrowed his eyes at her. He abruptly turned away taking the bowl of homemade frosting with him to the other side of the counter.
“Don’t worry. I just picked my nose.”
Ryan gasped whipping his whole body around. He leaned his back against the counter putting a hand on his chest. His sister was seriously going to make him panic and stress so much that his heart would give out.
“I’m kidding!” Vanessa belly laughed.
Ryan gritted his teeth together and pointed to the door. “Out!”
