Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for creators to get paid.
Pledging as little as $1 a month would be a huge help. It would allow me to have a steady income so I can continue to create. Patreon will help me stay afloat with my bills and also improve my craft.
Eventually, I’ll be able to stop babysitting and taking freelance gigs so I can focus on my books and create a better community for you guys through this blog and YouTube channel.
Why Patreon?
I quit my day job so I could write full-time. It was a crazy idea and a huge risk, one I never saw myself taking. Writing is my passion and I’m thankful I get the chance to do what I love for a living. This includes sharing my writing with the world as well as the journey through blogging, YouTube videos (someday), and more.
I still have bills to pay though. I’ve taken small writing gigs here and there and babysit quite a bit to keep a steady stream of income. However, freelancing isn’t as glamorous as it sounds. I’ve been ghosted or have only gotten quick gigs here and there. This is why I joined Patreon.

My Goals
I’ve always wanted to create a community of writers. Over the years, I’ve expanded upon the word “writers” and changed it to “creators.” Patreon is a great way for me to build that community and have a safe place for all creators alike.
Through Patreon, I’ll be able to save money more easily to hire a book cover artist and editor as well as begin a community for creators. (I honestly don’t have much info on this just yet. It’s in the works!)
