Last year I celebrated the Mystery genre on my blog during the month of June.
My audience responded well with it and I had a lot of fun with it, so I decided to bring it back!
During the month of June, I’ll be focusing more so on the mystery genre as that’s mainly what I write about.
I will continue my regular features such as Short Story Sunday, Time to Write, and my book reviews. Short Story Sunday will be a four-part mystery short story. The Time to Write prompts will be four mini prompts to help you write your own mystery.
Last year for my book reviews I read mystery books. I’ve been getting a lot of author requests to review their books, so that didn’t work out this year. However, some of the book reviews will have mystery elements to them.
I’m not going to write mystery related articles every single day because I have other things to talk about and touch upon (Camp NaNo next month… a readathon… etc…). With that being said, I have seven dates when I’ll post mystery related articles.
The posts will be as follows:
June 7 — Ingredients for Mystery Soup
June 8 — How To Plan a Crime
June 9 — How to Implement a Crime
June 13 — 8 Types of Mystery Subgenres
June 15 — 10 Cliches in Mystery Novels
June 20 — Mystery is a Mystery
June 22 — How To Begin Your Mystery Novel
That’s Mystery Month for 2016! I already got a head start on writing the articles and I have to say that I’ve been having fun with it as well as learning a lot.
I hope the same for all of you!
