We all know that this blog is about reading and writing. I talk mostly about writing because that’s what I do, but reading is a huge part of that. I post book reviews weekly, sometimes more, and I talk about bookish things here and there.
Many times I have thought about starting a brand new blog solely for books and reading. I would stop posting book reviews on here and have a separate book blog.
Then I thought to myself, “That’s a lot of work.”
Between posting on here seven days a week, plus posting on Double Jump four days a week, having another blog where I would have to figure out another schedule seemed like a bit much. Plus, I would be obligated to post multiple reviews each week since that’s what the majority of the content would be.
And we all know how I sometimes struggle to read just one book a week.
So, I thought of the next big thing. Something that most people have been doing that I have yet to join in on.
I’ve created a Bookstagram!
Yes, I now have an account on Instagram dedicated to books.
My username on there is RachelP_Reads. Or you can just click on the word “bookstagram” above to get to my profile.
Don’t forget the underscore… It was originally RachelPReads, but I kept reading it as “Rachel Preads.” So I added the underscore in there for everyone’s convenience. (Actually, it was really originally RachelReads, but apparently, there are a lot of Rachels who enjoy reading on Instagram…)
This will certainly be a new little adventure for me and I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun. I won’t be posting on there as frequently as I do on this blog, but I do hope to post at least a couple times a week.
So, I hope you’ll follow me on Instagram at RachelP_Reads. And, if you have a bookstagram, I can follow you back… I need friends on there.
