Summary…
Can a laid off detective and a college student solve a murder?
When Detective George Florence is laid off from the police department, he decides to start his own private detective agency. However, things don’t work out as planned as he hasn’t had any cases in a month and his bills are piling up. But just when he is about to close his office doors for good, Lilah Williams, a 20-year-old English major at the local community college, shows up at his door. She has a robbery case for him. All she asks in return is information on her father, the late Detective Joseph Williams, who also happens to be the detective who trained George. George agrees, but only for one day. But when Lilah sticks around longer than intended, a body is discovered within the robbery case and more information arises from Detective Williams’ death.
Who is the robber? Who is the killer? What is it about about Detective Williams’ death and does Lilah know more than what she is letting on? Just what did George get himself into?
