I’m Rachel, an indie author who began on my creative writing journey in 2012 with the start of this website. Now I write full-time and have been since 2017 specializing in book marketing and content writing.
I offer book marketing help and more for writers at all stages during their creative journey. My goal is to make the process go smoother so you have the time to do what you do best: create.
I know how difficult it is to write, publish, market a book, and everything in between. (Never mind fitting in some downtime!)
I’ve learned a lot over the years and hope to share what I’ve learned all the while making the process easier for you. You’re not alone. I enjoy helping other writers with their creative adventures to get your book in front of as many readers as possible.
I specialize in book marketing help, but all my services are listed below as well as more information if needed. Thank you for considering me to help you with your passion projects. I look forward to hearing from you.
Virtual Book Blog Tour
What I will do for you:
- Find book bloggers to read and review your book, host a guest post and/or an author interview for you.
- Send your book to agreed book bloggers.
- Coordinate the tour with you and all book bloggers, scheduling dates for them to post on their blogs.
- Send reminders to each participant a week before their scheduled date.
- Create images for the tour such as a banner, schedule, a 7-day countdown for the tour on Twitter, Instagram (post and story), and Facebook.
- Keep a spreadsheet of the participants and their posts so you can keep track, comment on their blogs, and share their posts.
- Share the tour on my personal social media on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest before and during the tour dates.
Options:
- One Week: 5 – 10 bloggers
- Two Weeks: 10 – 20 bloggers
- Three Weeks: 15 – 30 bloggers
- Four Weeks: 20 – 40 bloggers
Please note:
- All tour options are 1 – 2 bloggers per day, Monday through Friday only.
- Tours must be booked 3 – 4 months in advance.
- Books must be sent to blogger participants 1.5 – 2 months in advance so they have plenty of time to read your book.
- Tours can be set up for books already published or for ARCs.
- I am not responsible if a blogger does not post on their scheduled date. Once they agree to participate in the tour it is their responsibility to follow through.
- If a book blogger agrees to read and review your book, I do not guarantee a positive review. I only reach out to bloggers who give honest and fair reviews.
- At this time, due to COVID-19, I am not accepting paperback or hardcover books to send to participants. Only ebooks.
- 25% of the overall payment is required upfront. The monthly payments are due at the beginning of each month for the previous month’s work. (A payment plan can be discussed.)
Past Tours:
- Jozi Flash 2017 by South African Authors
- A Noble’s Path by I.L. Cruz
Cover Reveal
What I’ll do for you:
- Find book bloggers to host a cover reveal on their website that includes the book cover, about the author, and/or an excerpt of the book.
- Coordinate the cover reveal posts and schedule with you and the participants.
- Create images such as reveal teasers and countdown for blogs, Twitter (post and header), Instagram (post and story), Facebook (post and cover), and Pinterest.
- Keep a spreadsheet of the bloggers so you can keep track of the posts.
- Promote the cover reveal on my personal social media on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Please Note:
- I will only organize cover reveals for books that have not been shown. If your cover is already on your website, Goodreads, is already published, etc. I will not organize a cover reveal for the book.
- The cover reveal will take place over one day (Monday through Friday only).
- At this time, cover reveals are capped at 40 bloggers. You can choose how many bloggers you want for the reveal 1 – 40.
- I recommend a cover reveal take place 2 – 4 weeks before the book is released. I ask the reveal be set up 1 – 2 months in advance so book bloggers have ample time to save the date for you.
- I am not responsible if a blogger does not post on the scheduled date. Once they agree to participate in the cover reveal it is their responsibility to follow through.
- 25% of the payment is required upfront. The rest is due upon the project completion.
Book Marketing Graphics
What I’ll do for you:
- Create graphics to help promote your book for your website and various social media.
- Graphics may include the use of mock-ups, your cover, and its color scheme.
- Images may include (but are not limited to) quotes from your book, countdown until the book’s release date, quotes from reviews, available now images, coming soon images, cover reveal teasers and more.
- Images can be horizontal or vertical for blog posts in various sizes.
- Images can be for Twitter (post and header), Instagram (post and story), Pinterest, and Facebook (post and cover).
Please Note:
- You can choose the image sizes (however there are standard sizes for each social media), social media space, colors, etc.
- You can give me assets such as your book cover and logos to use within the images.
- The image types listed above are ideas. If you have other ideas in mind, let’s discuss it.
- 50% of the payment is required upfront. The rest is due upon project completion.

Testimonials
I worked with Rachel on a two-week blog tour which began at the onset of the COVID-19 shutdowns. Without the tour, I never would have gotten my book, A Noble’s Path, any exposure and without Rachel I would have been lost in the process. She was so thoughtful and attentive, checking in on me, helping me reach out to other bloggers and guiding me through my first blog tour. It was a great experience and one I would freely recommend to any indie author.
I’ve had the pleasure of having Rachel as a Beta Reader and member of my ARC Team for several months now. What I noticed immediately is that she is prompt, which I love. I find this quality important because writers who send their manuscript to Betas can expect to wait weeks, sometimes months for feedback. Rachel, however, is always the first to finish the read and provides valuable feedback. Focusing not just on her likes and dislikes but also on how the story flows and the writing style, I always feel that I am getting honest and well-balanced input from this young woman. Rachel pays attention to detail and I can tell that she is giving it her all. Good Betas are hard to come by and I am honored to recommend her and to have her as a member of my team.
In the three months Rachel interned for me, she proved to be a valuable asset. She is dedicated, follows instructions quite impressively and keeps things clear through constant communication. In a few projects I’ve had the chance to hire her, I was very happy with her work and I’m looking forward to working with her on future projects as well.
To whomever reads this, my name is Jack Longman. I run the May 5th, 2015 established Nintendo Media Site, Miketendo64.com. Since February 13th 2017, in addition to running Double Jump with her sister Kris Poli, and reviewing books, Rachel Poli has acted as a freelancer who has often contributed to the site. From undertaking reviews for Nintendo Switch and 3DS, to offering up ideas, Rachel has shown herself to be a hard worker, capable of working under pressure, great at multi-tasking and is most importantly, a team player.
“Rachel has enthusiasm, passion and a willingness to learn, a fact that was most proven when we revised our review structure and Rachel was the first one to learn it and put it into effect. As for her writing skill, due to being an avid reader and student of many styles, Rachel’s points are punctual, her opinions are well expressed in a detailed fashion that is not off-putting to all who read them and I have often enjoyed reading the content she provides not just for our site, but her own as well. So I would certainly say, she is an asset to whoever is lucky to have her to write for them, as she is positively delightful as both a person and in her writing.
Excellent beta reader. Highly professional, honest, clear and concise, and extremely helpful. Recommended!
FAQs
Can I hire you for long-term?
Yes, of course. If we work well together, I’d love to aid you on your journey for as long as you need it. Some services are listed as long-term and can be hired out for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months at a time.
What’s your turnaround time?
This will depend on what you need and when I’m able to get started. This will be discussed upon working together.
What’s your cancelation policy?
If you need to cancel for any reason, I ask that you please let me know as soon as you can. If the project has not been started, I will give you a full refund on the 25% upfront payment. If our contract has already begun and I’ve started the project, the 25% upfront payment will be nonrefundable and will be used as a cancelation fee. I understand things can come up last minute, but I book projects well in advance and can only book a certain amount of people per month so I’m able to give every project the time and attention it deserves. This means I can’t book someone else last minute, thus the cancelation fee.
What if you need to cancel?
I’m human and sometimes life happens. Should I need to cancel for any reason, I’ll send you what I have already worked on and give you a full refund on any money you’ve paid.
I’m a book blogger. How can I get onto your list to participate in blog tours, reviews, etc?
If you’d like to be on my list of book bloggers that participate in blog tours, cover reveals, and publish book reviews, please fill out this form and you’ll be added. Thank you!
I have more questions.
If you don’t see your question here, please don’t hesitate to ask. Chances are, others might have the same question. I’ll answer you through email and also add the question and answer here.
