Day 30

I Did It!

I made it up to about 53,000 words for Camp NaNo. The only problem was that I wrote multiple things. So when I validated my novel this morning, I used Take Over because that was about 70,000 words. It was easier doing that than putting everything I wrote in one document to validate it. But because of that, NaNo thinks I wrote about 70,000 words this month. That is not the case, but oh well. I’ll go along with it.

I was hoping to write a lot more before the month ended, but school has me swamped. I finished one project last night and I plan on finishing the other projects (or close to it) tonight. I’ll stay up all night if I have to to. Because tomorrow is May 1st, which means that I’m going to start a new month of writing.

By the end of May, I plan on having The Blank Page completed. It would be nice to have it done in the next two weeks so I could print it out at school and use up their ink and paper. But I’m not going to rush myself to get it done by then just so I can save a couple of bucks. It depends on how quickly I can get my homework done. Stupid homework…

Anyway, I have a lot to do on here, as well. I have to post the summaries and excerpts of Take Over, Saving Each Other, and Seeing Things. Of course, Saving Each Other and Seeing Things are the same thing, so you might have to wait until I finish all five parts…but I think I already posted the summary for Saving Each Other. I seriously have to get myself organized. I’ll also post the summary and excerpt of The Blank Page as soon as possible, as well.

So no writing for me today, but tomorrow I will try to write as much as possible…depending on how much homework I am able to get done tonight. We shall see.

Congrats to all of those who finished and won Camp NaNoWriMo! 🙂

Day 25

I Disappeared, Didn’t I…

Hello again! Sorry for vanishing into thin air. Life has been  a little hectic lately. I have a lot of homework since it’s nearing the end of the semester and I’ve been back at work this week because April vacation is over…sad day.

However, I come with good news! My word count for Camp NaNo is 50,198! I won! But I’m going to keep on going, so I didn’t validate it yet. Plus I’m at school right now, so I don’t really want to validate it on the school computer and not my laptop.

For Camp I wrote many things. I started and completed Saving Each Other, I finished Take Over, I started Seeing Things, and I started The Blank Page. You’re probably confused because the last time I posted I was planning on starting and finishing Seeing Things. Well, I was starting to get out of the writing groove and I realized that it was because of that story. After constantly working on Saving Each Other, I realized that I was beginning to get a little sick of the plot and the characters. I need a break from that story. So I decided to write The Blank Page again.

I hope everyone remembers, but I’ll say it again: The Blank Page is a novel about three strangers getting together through a writing website to write with each other and help one another out through the ups and downs of writing a novel. So basically it’s what us writers go through when we’re trying to start a novel, get through the novel, finish the novel, edit it, publish it, etc. I started it, my flash drive broke, so I lost it. So I’m starting it over again.

I have a total of ten single-spaced pages and 5,000 words even for The Blank Page. So things are going pretty well with it so far. I’ve been getting back to writing a lot more since I started it and stopped writing Seeing Things. Maybe I’ll finish Seeing Things when I finish The Blank Page. I have too many novels going on…

So there you have it. I think that’s all the updates I have for right now. I hope to write a lot more of The Blank Page before the end of the month so I can keep updating my word count for Camp NaNo.

I hope all you other Campers are finished or at least very close to it!

Day Eighteen

Big News…

I know that I skipped the blog post yesterday, but yesterday was my dad’s birthday…and I may have played Pokemon for, oh I don’t know…five or six hours? However, I did write 1,260 words yesterday. It’s better than nothing, right? I wrote those words for Seeing Things.

Today was a better day. I wrote 3,504 words to Take Over. And guess what? Take Over is completed! You guys don’t realize how happy I am that I finished it. Now, as I continue for Camp NaNo for the rest of April, I can focus on just one novel. That novel being Seeing Things, even though it’s just “part” of a novel.

I have to say this: 2013 has been a pretty big year so far. I made a resolution to write a lot more and I have actually been keeping up with that. I finished the first part of a novel (Saving Each Other) in about two weeks. Saving Each Other, I just printed out the part today, is 119 double-spaced pages with 35,076 words. Seeing Things and the other three parts of that novel are going to be just as long. This novel is going to be a big book.

I finished Take Over in about five weeks. I estimate that because I started it at the beginning of March and stopped writing it for Camp NaNo. However, when I picked it back up again it only took me an extra four or five days to finish. Take Over is 219 double-spaced pages with 70,642 words. Now it’s onto the fun part…editing.

So I completed 1/5 of a novel and a whole novel in less than two months. Now I’m onto the second part of a novel I hope to get a good dent it in by the end of the month. I’m putting those words towards Camp NaNo. Which, by the way, from today’s word count and yesterday’s word count is up to 44,069.

I had planned on writing more today because that 3k was written in school this morning. However, I had to babysit (like I do every Thursday), but I ended up going to their house an hour earlier and leaving two hours later than I usually do. I’m not going to explain, but things are chaotic at their house at the moment.

Not to mention that I have a ton of homework. As I said before, it’s the end of the semester so all my teachers decide to give out everything now. I have three chapters worth of homework in math as well as a project, I have two science projects, and I have a essay for my student teaching class as well as write up a few lesson plans. Although, the lesson plans are optional so that’s the last thing on my mind. There’s three weeks left in the semester and all this stuff is due one right after the other. It’s a pain. I quit.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a good writing day. I hoped to get to 50k today, but oh well. Maybe tomorrow. Or Saturday. The worst part is that I’m in a big mood to play Pokemon, so hopefully I can just use that as an incentive to get my homework and/or writing done. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I was very close to skipping my science class on Tuesday, but I told myself I would get myself Starbucks if I went to class. And I did. I was happy.

Okay, today exhausted the crap out of me so now I’m just kind of babbling on…I’ll see you all tomorrow!

Day Sixteen

Back In Business…

So I am back for now! I have to admit that it was little tough not writing for a few days while I was away, but I had a lot of fun. My boyfriend and I were more than happy to have some alone time for a little while. It’s sometimes hard because his house is usually quiet, but I live with six other people so it’s a little difficult for privacy even just for myself.

Anyway, we got back Monday night and I did nothing but play the board game Clue with my mom and two sisters. We had a lot of fun. However, this morning I had to wake up and go back to school. I wrote an even 2,000 words for Seeing Things while at school today. I wanted to write Take Over, but I never saved it onto my flash drive or e-mailed it to myself. It’s on my laptop and Dropbox, but I can’t access those from the school computers, obviously. But it worked out because I came up with a couple of ideas for Seeing Things. I really want to finish Take Over by the end of the month, though.

I have a math project due next week, a science project due in two weeks, and another science project due in three weeks. This is the reason as to why I never wrote more than 2,000 words. I had planned on it, but it’s the end of the semester which means all the professors are freaking out that we haven’t learned everything we were supposed to get through. So they throw everything at us all at once. But I have a little over 10,000 more words to write for Camp NaNo (my count is 39,305 at the moment). Once I hit that 50k mark, I’ll do my homework, then shoot for 75k. I still have about half of the month left, so let’s see how much I can get done.

In other news, the lovely Briana from When I Became An Author wanted to include me in on an author interview program that she is doing. I was more than happy to participate. She e-mailed me some questions, I answered them, and bam! I am on her blog. You can read the post here, titled Author Interview Program #9. Thank you again, Briana!

Anyway, that’s all the news I have for right now. I plan on getting a good amount of writing done tomorrow! It’s still April vacation for me which means that I don’t have work this week. Yay!

Day Thirteen and Booky Questions

Interviewy Stuff….

Hey everyone! I was invited to do some interview-like questions. So I’m going to post that first and then give you a quick update on my progress!

The other day, Tiffany Metzger commented on my blog and told me about Blog Hopping and Booky Questions and tagged me in it. I am more than happy to participate in it. Thanks, Tiffany!

So here are some questions of my work-in-progress novel:

What is the (working) title of your book?

Take Over.

Where did the idea come from for the book?

As weird as this is going to sound, I thought of the idea when I was at work. I work at a preschool and the other teacher took the kids outside while I stayed behind to clean up the classroom a little bit. While I was setting up the art table, the idea just randomly popped into my head. I started saying to myself, “Remember when you were little and everyone was always wondering why the kids never took over the school? Because it’s obvious that the students out numbered the teachers.” Everyone has though about that sometime or another while they were in grade school, right? I thought it would be funny to turn it into the novel, but I wasn’t serious about it. Then I was in the shower a few days later and I thought of the idea again. I started coming up with characters and scenes and all that fun stuff. I got really excited and really into the idea, so I decided to write a book about what would happen if a group of students really did take over the school. I have no idea what made me think about it, but I’m glad I did.

What genre does your book fall under?

Young adult drama. High school stuff, just like any other young adult drama. The only difference is that none of my characters sleep around with any of their teachers, no one smokes or does drugs, and none of the girls fight over one guy.

Which actors and/or actresses would you choose to play your characters in the movie rendition?

Well, there are six main characters. I honestly have no idea who would play who. Most of the actors and actresses I really know are adults and my characters are 17- and 18-years-old. So I guess I’ll just use Disney Channel stars as an example even though I would never want them playing any of my characters. David Henrie, he’s hot, so he can play Simon. Selena Gomez, I love her, she can be Roxana. Although they would be weird because they used to play brother and sister, but whatever. Dylan and Cole Sprouse could definitely play Jay and Darren, who are twins. That leaves Bella, the airhead…Bridget Mendler. Not that I’m saying anything against Bridgit, but I can just picture her being good at play a space cadet.

What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?

To make history and be the most epic senior class of their high school, a group of five seniors with the help of their junior friend decide to take over the school without realizing the consequences and thinking about how out of hand everything can get. <—Synopsis’ suck. That’s all I have to say.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

Not self-published, but I don’t really plan on getting an agent.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

So far, it’s been about a month and a half. I haven’t finished the novel, yet, but I am super close!

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

The Wave by Todd Strasser. I read that book my sophomore year of high school and I loved it! It’s about a group of students who don’t understand the Holocaust. They don’t get how people can just fall in line behind someone so bad. So the teacher, trying to help them understand how easy it is to be a follower. He starts “The Wave” where he is the leader and all the students are the followers. However, when it’s time to stop, the students keep going with it and things get out of control. I highly recommend it.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

I have wanted to be an author since I was ten-years-old. I have been writing novels left and right since then and I never finished them. The novels I did finish, I had no motivation to edit. However, when I can up with this idea, I just got so excited. I love the characters, I love the plot, I love everything about the novel. I usually know the beginning and end and get stuck in the middle. That didn’t happen when I wrote this book. Idea after idea kept popping into my head and my fingers never rested once on the keyboard. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, the actual idea itself inspired me to write this particular book.

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

Honestly, I believe everyone has once asked themselves why no one has ever taken over the school before and this basically has the answer, even though it’s my version of what might happen. All the characters age in this book. Minds are changed and some grow up while others don’t. Roxana is against the idea, the twins and Brad love the idea, Bella and Simon don’t know which side they are on in the first place. And, of course, love is also in the mix.

Now I pass this Blog Hop along to:

Again, thanks to Tiffany for including me in this. Maybe I’ll post those questions for all of my books, who knows? Feel free to post this on your own blog, as well! I have no idea who started this, but it was a good idea and I thank that person.

Now, I don’t have big news to update. I wrote 557 words today. My boyfriend and I are going away this weekend. Remember I said I wasn’t going to change my word count in case I couldn’t hit 50k this weekend? Well, it’s a good thing I was right because this getaway is totally last minute. Anyway, I tried to write a lot this morning because I’m not going to be able to write tomorrow and possibly not Monday, either. However, I just didn’t have the muse to do so.

I do plan on taking my notebook with me so if I have time to get anything done I can write a few notebook pages of Far Away. However, that is not going to count towards my NaNo word count because I have 20 pages so far and I do not want to count all of that up. When I finish the notebook, I’ll type it up and then count all of the words. Then it will be added to my 365,000 word count goal.

In other news, this week is April vacation. I still have school, sadly, but I do not have work. So I plan on writing big time when I come home this weekend. I plan on getting to 50k right when I come back and then hopefully changing my word count goal to 75k. We shall see what happens!

Anyway, I won’t be posting again until either Monday or Tuesday. So everyone better get a lot of writing done! 😀

Day Eight

Over The Hump…

It’s a little after twelve in the afternoon and I have to say that’s it been a very good day. My class at school today was 8-9:15, but I left a little before nine o’clock because we weren’t doing anything. She was helping some people sign up for classes next semester, but I graduate at the end of this semester, so it was pointless for me to be there. I came straight home and started to get some more writing done.

I wrote 5,023 words between 9:30 and 12:00. It was a good morning. I wanted to make it to 30,000 words in my story and now I have a total of 30,041 words. Not only am I over the hump for Camp NaNo because I’m more than halfway done, but I am also over the hump of my story.

I explained in my last post that Saving Each Other is just the first part of five in one novel. I’m at the very top of the climax for this part and I think it’s just about done. I have a couple more parts to write for it and I should be good. I don’t know how many words it’s going to take…I like to think it’ll take about 20,000 more words to make it to 50,000, but it might be more or it might be less. We’ll see.

Also, I heard that it’s NaPoWriMo this month, as well? That’s where you’re supposed to write one poem every day during the month of April. Well, why not? I have a lot on my plate already, so let’s go for it. I’m not really good at writing poetry, but I’ve always wanted to get better at it. Of course, because I do have a lot on my plate right now, I decided that I’m going to write a Haiku a day. It’s easier and quicker and since I was a few days behind, I needed something easy to make sure I was able to catch up.

I have eight haikus so far (because it’s been eight days) and I posted them on my website Spilled Ink. The only thing is, you need to be a member to view the Journal section on Spilled Ink (don’t want any guests stealing ideas from the members). So if you want to view them, you need to register. It’s a free Proboards writing website and we would love to have new members because we just re-opened. Of course, if you don’t want to join that’s perfectly fine. For that reason, I also posted the Haikus on my FictionPress account. Check that if you want, but I would really appreciate it if some of you looked at Spilled Ink and considered joining…yes, I am degrading myself and am advertising on my own blog…

Anyway, tomorrow is another day and I hope to make it to 35,000 words! But Tuesdays are really busy, so I’ll settle for the normal 1,667 words.

Day Three

27 More Days….

SnackYou see that picture up there? Yes, that is s’mores. Two s’mores! With coffee in a Tinkerbell mug! I know what you’re thinking: “coffee with s’mores? Is she for real…?” Well, my friends, this is why everyone tells me that they cannot wait until I get pregnant.

This is what I ate earlier while I was writing. I went to school, wrote, went to work, and then wrote some more. It was a productive day, I think.

Today I wrote a total of 4,434 words. Saving Each Other and my Camp NaNo stats are now up to 13,419 words. According to the stats, I am going to finish on April 12 at the rate I am going. Of course, I wrote over 6,000 words on the first day and I kind of want to break that record. I wrote 20k in two days about a week ago, I want to see if I can do that again.

Oh, and get this: you know how I’m trying to write 365,000 words by the end of 2013? That means I have to write 1,000 words a day. I was way behind in that goal because I forgot about it, I didn’t have time, whatever you want my excuse to be. Right now I should have about 93,000 words because 31 days (January) plus 28 days (February) plus 31 days (March) plus 3 days (April so far) equals to 93. Scroll down and look how many words I have right now. Yep, that’s right. I win. 😀 Granted, I still have about eight months to go, but…we can gloat for now.

I have also been thinking more and more about that vlog portion of Spilled Ink. I’m going to get started on it soon. I just have to figure out a few things. When I’m going to do it, how often I’m going to do it, how I’m going to do it, etc. However, it should hopefully be coming soon. I plan on having a lot of fun with a vlog.

I don’t think I really have anything else to say right now. Basically tomorrow is another day and I hope to get lots of stuff done. If you’re doing Camp, comment with your word count! 🙂

Day Two

Like A Snail….Donny

Today was kind of a dud. I hoped to get a lot more writing done because I had a lot of free time this morning. However, I am not going to complain because I met the word count for the day (1,667) and I am way ahead of the game anyway.

Today I wrote 2,635 words bringing my Camp NaNo novel up to a total of 8,985. About 1,000 of that 2,635 words was written in school. As you can see from the picture, I did not have any post-it notes so I used my iPod to block the word and page count. Yes, my iPod case is a turtle. His name is Donny. Yes, he is named after the ninja turtle.

I had four hours before class to write today, but I never did. I have a really bad cold which I have had for about a week now. I tried to convince myself to stick it out, but I said screw it. I ended up going home, wrote for another hour, and ever since then I have just been in a daze. I haven’t done anything productive.

Tomorrow will be a better day, though. I hope everyone else is doing just as well.

Day One

And It Begins….Writing

Let’s begin with last night: I wrote some more of Take Over, but only 2,063 more words of it. I planned on writing as much of Take Over as I possible could up until midnight. Then when midnight came I was going to start writing Saving Each Other for Camp NaNo. That didn’t happen. I got tired of writing Take Over and my fingers felt as though they were going to fall off. I was in bed at 10:30. Yeah.

But that’s okay because I woke up this morning and got started on Saving Each Other right away. I am happy to announce that I have written 6,350 words for Saving Each Other so far. I was going to continue on, but I wanted to post on here first because I have to go to work soon.

That picture is a sticky note. I tend to glance down at the bottom left-hand corner to see how many pages and words I have. I put the sticky on the screen blocking it so I wouldn’t look at the words. Then I set my timer to an hour so I only got to check how many words I got written every hour. It helped because I tried to get more and more words each hour trying to break the previous record.

According to my Camp NaNo stats, at the rate I’m going I should finish on April 8. I have no idea if that will actually happen or not, but I do have a lot of time this week. I got lucky this year: I only have work today because my class was cancelled. Tomorrow my class is usually 10:30-2, but my professor has a funeral so class tomorrow is going to be 12-2. That gives me an extra hour and a half to write. Then I have work in the afternoon. Wednesday I can write before class (which is 9-10:15) and after class, before work. I have work at 2. Thursday I can write before class (which is 10:30-11:45) and then before I babysit, which is 3-6. Friday I have work 11-6, but I don’t have school that morning so I can use that time to write. I have all day Saturday and all day (after church) on Sunday. I think I can get a whole lot done.

I hope I get a lot done because I plan on writing the entire Saving Each Other part…not just 50,000 words of it. On top of that I want to  finish Take Over. I’m going to finish Saving Each Other first and then finish Take Over. I am also going to include whatever words I write for Take Over into my word count for the month. But I’ll write 50,000 words on Saving Each Other first so I’m technically not cheating.

I hope everyone is off to a great start just like I am! We have 29 more days to go!

Happy Easter!

Yum…Chocolate!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope that you all had a nice, relaxing holiday. I know that I did and I have to say that sitting in church with my father is quite comical. Neither one of us can sit still in church, which is one of the reasons as to why I’m one of the Sunday school teachers…I can’t sit for a full hour listening to a lecture. I love my parish and minister, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t consider myself too religious which makes it kind of hard to listen to that topic for very long. It’s kind of like my math class.

Last night I wrote 6,861 words for Take Over. I am now up to 64,520 words and 100 single-spaced pages. I was hoping to finish the novel today, but I haven’t really gotten a chance to work on it. I am going to try to finish it during Camp NaNo, though. I’m going to cheat a little and add those words to my NaNo word count. I’m still going to try to get to 50,000 words on Saving Each Other for Camp, but I thought I could boost my word count a little and add Take Over. It will make me feel extra accomplished.

I am going to try to write as much as I can on Take Over for the rest of the tonight. Then, when midnight strikes, I’m going to start on my Camp NaNo novel. I may or may not post on here again at two in the morning or whenever I decide to go to bed, but I will definitely post tomorrow. I’m going to try to update every single during April. I always update when I write something and if I update that means I must have written a little that day, right?

I also decided that when I finish whole novel, that’s when I’ll add the excerpt. When I start a novel, I’ll add the summary. Of course, since I just thought of this, I’m going to post both the excerpt and the summary for Take Over at the same time when I finish the novel. I’m not going to worry about the summary for Saving Each Other. Since I already wrote it technically, I already posted the summary on here before. It’s under the Summaries category…or it should be, anyway.

Today I have been working on polishing my children’s picture book Asking Bobby. I wrote a synopsis and sent it to one publisher so far. Wish me luck!

And good luck to everyone who is participating in Camp NaNoWriMo! 🙂

50,000 Even

I Shall Dance Now!

You know how I said that I wanted to make it to 50,000 words on my novel Take Over by April 1st before Camp NaNoWriMo starts? Well, I actually did it! I was at 30,056 or something like that and on Tuesday I wrote 10,070 words and on Wednesday I wrote 9,874 words! I made it to 50,000 words even and I hope to continue until the beginning of April!

The funny thing is that I’m almost almost done with the novel. I had about four more parts left to write and then I think that’s it. So it shouldn’t take me too long to finish. I want to continue writing it until April so I think there is a good chance that I actually can finish the novel before Camp NaNo starts. However, I am not going to push myself. I got lucky with writing about 20,000 words in just two days.

I’m on Spring Break this week, but I still have work. Monday we had a snow storm during the night so I had a snow day at work on Tuesday. That’s why I was able to write so much. It took between four and five hours, but I made it to 10,070 words. I think that has been the most I have ever written in one day. I never posted on here after I accomplished that because when I finished it was about ten o’clock at night and I was exhausted. Not to mention that my wrists were killing me.

On Wednesday, my sister and I went to Barnes and Noble to write for a little bit before I had to go to work at two o’clock. I got up to 48 thousand and something words after being at Barnes and Noble for about three and half hours. So I was determined to make it to that 50k that night when I got home from work because it was just another couple thousand words.

In other news, I figured out what I am going to be writing for Camp NaNo! I’m going to be writing Saving Each Other. Yes, I already wrote that, but it died along with my flash drive. It’s still fairly fresh in my mind so I thought that I could re-write it from memory. The novel kind of sucked anyway, so maybe this will go a little better. I have a ton of novels planned out for this series, but (and I think I already said this when I first wrote the novel) I’m going to condense it all. I have three series for it, each series being five books long. I’m going to turn it into a trilogy and each novel will have all five parts in the one book. So the books will be fairly long, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully it will all work out in the end.

It’s Friday morning right now and I wrote this post Wednesday night…but I had to modify it because before I could post it because Wednesday night my laptop decided it wasn’t going to talk to the Wi-Fi anymore. So it would be kind of weird to post something on Friday that talked about “yesterday” being Tuesday and “today” being Wednesday.

I have work today (yes, Friday) from 11:00 to 5:00/6:00. Then I have this Family Night thing to go to that’s happening at my cousin’s school. Yipee for me…but it was fun last year, so I’ll try to think positive about it even though I really don’t want to go. In any case, I’m going to try to get some writing done this morning before I have to go to work. I have about two hours. Then maybe later on tonight I can get something done. The only thing is that the Family Night ends between nine and ten at night, so who knows how tired I am going to be by the end of that…especially working six or seven hours with itty bitty children all afternoon.

Wish me luck in finishing a novel in literally a month without it being NaNo! 🙂

3,984 Words

Not All At Once…

Yes, I wrote an extra 3,984 words on Take Over. No, I did not do it all at once. I kept writing bits and pieces every day, but I kept on forgetting to update this. So there you have it! Between now and the past week or so, I have written 3,984 words.

Also, with Camp NaNo on the way (I still have no idea what I am going to write…) I decided that instead of trying to force myself to finish Take Over, I am going to try to make it to 50,000 words before April. That way, if I don’t get the chance to finish the whole novel, I can at least feel accomplished because 50,000 is a lot…especially when it’s not for NaNo.

Take Over currently has 30,113 words for it. So I just need to write another 20,000 words or so by the end of March and I am good to go. I have 17 days, so we’ll see how well this works.

Also, I finished reading another book. It was Eye of the Wizard by Daniel Arenson. It was a great fantasy read. I added those pages to the Pages Read and started the sequel as well as reading Midnight by Erin Hunter, which I am almost finished with.

That is all. 🙂

Camp NaNoWriMo

Camp National Novel Writing Month…

2013-Participant-Campfire-Facebook-Profile

Show of hands–who is participating in Camp NaNo this year? I know that I am and I have to say that I am certainly not prepared for it…

First, I’m a little disappointed that Script Frenzy is no more. I loved that website and I loved participating. Can you do a script for NaNo? Of course, but it’s not really the same. I think they took down Script Frenzy because not a lot of people were joining it…as far as I’m concerned, there were a good amount of people on there. Most of the people on NaNo were on Script Frenzy.

Second, they changed the dates again. The first year I discovered Camp NaNo was 2011 and it was during the months of June and July. For 2012 it was July and August. Now, for 2013, it’s April and July. I’m glad we can all agree on at least July. I’m sure they changed it to April because that’s when Script Frenzy used to be.

Third, my OCD is kicking it. There are 12 months in a year and three sessions of NaNoWriMo. 12 divided by three is four. Each session should be four months a part. November, March, July. End of story. Of course, that would mean I would have to write 50,000 this month, but…whatever. The way they have it now is obnoxious. November to April is five months, April to July is three months, and July to November is three months. Make it even, please!

This poses as an issue. April is less than one month away and I have no idea what to do for it. Not to mention that I am already in the middle of a novel. I know some people are “rebels” and they just add 50,000 words onto whatever novel they are currently writing, but I don’t like to do that. I like to start fresh. So this means that I have to finish Take Over by April because if I start writing something new, I know for a fact that I will never go back to Take Over. And I really need to start finishing things that I start.

So I am going to try to work extra hard for the rest of this month and try to get Take Over finished up. Then I can start planning for April and…I have no idea what novel I am going to write for that. But I guess I can’t really worry about that right now because I have to focus on finishing Take Over. This is a lot to handle; especially since I’m trying to get school organized and such.

By the way, I finished reading Beautiful Creatures. It was a good book–everyone should read it. But while the movie was great, it really didn’t do the book justice. So if you’re one of those people who gets angry when the movie is completely different from the book, I say watch the movie before you read the actual book. That way, you can enjoy the movie for just a little bit. Anyway, that’s 563 pages added to my pages read count!

As you know because I haven’t posted in a couple of days, I have no written in a couple of days. I have been busy and I have been exhausted. I am, however, going to try my absolute best to finish Take Over by April. That gives me a little over three more weeks and I’m already doing pretty well on the story. I think I should be able to do it.

I just have to cut off all ties with life.
