I’ve been writing since I was 10-years-old because I wanted to copy my older sister. Originally starting with Ninja Turtle fan fiction, writing stuck with me throughout the years as I honed my skills in the craft and let my imagination run wild. I like to write in a few different genres, though I mostly write mystery as well as short stories and/or flash fiction.
I’ve posted a couple of novellas on Wattpad and I’ve also stepped into the self-publishing world. My debut book, Sunday Morning: A Collection of 52 Flash Fiction made its debut in spring 2019. You can find it on Amazon and a few other places as well.
In addition to this blog, another outlet I use for my writing is my Patreon page. You’re more than welcome to check it as it’ll give you access to an exclusive community, locked blog posts on here, the inside scoop of my upcoming books, and more.
This blog began in May 2012. I wanted to use it as an author platform and to share my creative writing with the world. It’s grown so much since then, more than I ever imagined. I’ve met so many wonderful people and have learned so much about writing, blogging, business, and more. It will first and foremost be an author platform and for readers and writers, but I’m aiming for it to be a place for all creators. This blog has a lot to offer and there’s a lot to check out, such as articles about:
In addition to this blog, I also run a video game website with my sister called Double Jump. As an extra way to reach out to the gaming community, we also live stream on Twitch. My sister and I are both writers and gamers and all are welcome, so feel free to join us on Twitch sometime.
I’m an avid reader and book reviewer on this blog as well as for the Indie Reader. I post reviews of all books I read on this blog, Goodreads, and Amazon. I enjoy an array of genres, though I have my favorites such as cozy mystery and the middle-grade age.
I have a Kindle, though I prefer reading paperback copies. Still, I read a book in any format I can get my hands on. I love reading books newly published and ones that have been on the shelves for a little while so my book reviews may be all over the place in terms of the release date. I like to read whatever I’m in the mood for.
If you’re an author, publicist, or publisher, I’d love to check out your books.
I love books, I love writing. I know how hard it is to market your book and self-promote. I enjoy promoting other authors and help spread the word about their book babies and share the hard work they’ve put into writing and publishing a book.
In addition to helping authors promote their books, I can help out in other ways. I’ve learned a lot over the years and while I’m always learning new things, I love to share the knowledge with others.
The Merry Writer is a hashtag game for the writing community on Twitter and Instagram. My friend Ari Meghlen began the game in June 2018 and I joined as her co-host in July 2018. Almost two years later, in April 2020, we turned the game into a podcast.
The Merry Writer Podcast is us, two chatty authors, discussing all things about writing and reading. It’s a fun project and another great way to connect with people in the writing community.
I’m a lot of things but I’m much more than just a writer and reader. I’m a daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, and mother (to a dog, cat, and turtle).
If I’m not writing, reading, or playing video games, I’m usually playing with my pets, cleaning the house, or going for a walk. You can learn more about me on my Patreon page and various social media.

I immediately think ”positive’ – which is a great thing for a young writer to be.I’m old enough to be your grandmother, and sadly have no grandchildren of my own. I have three, hunky, very grown-up sons who I love dearly and a wonderful husband. I too worked with children and encouraged their reading and poetry for ten years and have always been hooked on writing and the arts. I’ve had poetry, articles, short stories and five books published: the latest WHERE ANGELS & DEVILS TREAD (a collaboration of 16 short stories. All genres.) I wish you all good fortune in your writing endeavours and am sure you’ll ‘make it.’
This is very sweet of you to say. 🙂 I’m sure your family is lucky to have you and congrats on your own success with your writing. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read and comment on my blog! 🙂

Hey hun, I hope all is good 🙂
I’ve tagged you for the Writing Ritual Tag 😀
http://wp.me/p5ad78-18i
Thanks so much! I hope you’re doing well too. 🙂
I am, thanks 🙂 Finally after so many weeks, I had a day to myself 💕
That’s great to hear!
Hey hun, I’ve tagged you for The Handwriting Challenge at https://wp.me/p5ad78-1iL 🙂
Awesome, thanks! 🙂
I love the honesty of your About me page. You don’t flower things up, it’s something Irish people love about Americans. I am a published poet and love reading too. You commented on something I wrote on The Street Photographer’s Guide I think. One think I have been told works well is videos. You could do video reviews of books. Like a 3 minute blurb. The 3 minute book blurb, try saying this after too many Guinnesssesss:)
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it. I worked hard on it. 🙂
Videos are on my list. I’m trying to get that into gear, but you know… money, lol.
Thanks again!
Well if you have a good phone you can buy a simple $50 lens for them now and a d3300 Nikon is only $200. A phone can also be used on it’s own. No excuses:)
I have a D3300 Nikon. There’s still some equipment I want (though not needed at the moment). It’s a work in progress. I’m still trying to teach myself editing and whatnot. I have a few other projects I’m working on at the moment so my goal is to try to officially start working on the YouTube channel this summer.
Go for it, it will increase your number massively. Sounds like you have got a plan. Well done you
Thank you.
You are a great writter with very imaginative brain…
👌👌
Good luck Dear😊
Thank you. 🙂
Please do start a youtube channel – I will subscribe if you do (but under my actual name so you won’t recognise me). Looking forward to it xx
The channel is all set up. I just have to add content to it… it’s in the works, lol.
Fabulous! 😀
