Blog Party Celebration

Blog Party September 2018 | Blogging | Creative Writing | WordPress | Blog Hop | Link Party |

A week ago, I posted a blog party invite as a heads-up to today. My birthday just passed and I’ve also reached 5,000 followers on the blog (which is now over 5,200 followers, which is unbelievable to me). So I decided to do a blog party to share the love and to connect with you all on a greater level!

Keep in mind, this is the first time I’ve done this. If all goes well and people respond to it well, I’d like to do this more often. I have a plan at least. We’ll see how it goes though.

But without further ado, here are the “rules,” so to speak:

In the comments below…

  • Introduce yourself and your blog name.
  • Share an interesting fact about yourself.
  • Link to one (1) blog post of yours – this can be your latest post, your favorite one, most popular, whatever. Just link to one and people can explore the rest of your blog from there.
  • Please be sure to check out blog posts from others. This is a way for all us to gain more exposure and meet new people. Please don’t just drop your link below and leave. Share the kindness and check out some other blogs as others will check out your blog.
  • Also, please feel free to respond to people in the comments and start conversations. By this, also check back on the post periodically to see if anyone has responded to your own comment.
  • Share this post around especially if you know any blogging friends who could use more exposure – the more the merrier!

And that’s about it. I’ll do my best to check out each and every one of your blogs for the day. Of course, while I’ll leave the comments open, I most likely won’t be checking blogs after this day is over. So get them in now!

Remember… one blog post and check out other blogs from people you don’t know. This is all about connecting.

Also, please feel free to mention in the comments what you think of this idea as a whole. Should I do more in the future? I guess we’ll see how many responses there are.

Again, thank you so much for 5,000 follows! I can’t believe my blog has come so far and that people care what I have to say. I’ve met so many wonderful people – bloggers, writers, gamers, friends – and I couldn’t be more proud. Thank you all so much.

Now let’s blog hop!

Happy connecting! Please share this post around for a chance for others to connect.

  1. I’m Victoria Zigler – you can call me Tori, if you like – and I blog at Zigler News, where I’ve been blogging now for a little over 12 years. Well, there was that year where I was blogging privately, but I was still blogging, and it was still on the same blog, so it counts.

I’m a blind self-published author of poetry and children’s stories.

People usually love my “Furkid Friday” posts, so I’ll link to the most recent one of those. Here you go… Enjoy!

    • Hey Tori! Glad you joined us. Thanks for sharing your work with us too. I promise I will get to your books one of these days. They’ve been on my mind for sure, lol.

  2. Hello Everyone,

I’m Rosie, I live in the UK, and my blog is simply called Rosie Amber. I’m a book reviewer, so my blog is filled with a cross-section of book reviews. It’s also sprinkled with a few posts on writing advice and items which help authors.

I run a book review team too, so that we can review books from a wider genre range.

The post I’ve chosen for today is; 10 Reasons Your Book Is Not Getting Reviewed by (Book Bloggers)

Thanks Rachel and I hope everyone enjoys the party.

    • Hi Jim! Thanks so much – for the birthday wish, congrats, and for joining us. 🙂 I certainly enjoy reading your writing each week with my prompts.

  3. Firstly, happy belated birthday! I hope you had a lovely and enjoyable day!!

Secondly, mega congratulations for your incredible milestone, that is just stunning. I am not surprised, your blog is one of the best, most interesting writing blogs around.

Third, what an awesome idea, I think it’s a great way for people to connect and we always need more of that since most writers and bloggers can be introverts. I definitely hope you continue to do this 🙂

Okay, I’m Ari Meghlen (with a blog of the same name), I blog about writing processes, marketing for writers and blogging tips.

    Here’s a post I can share:

I look forward to meeting some new bloggers from this 😀

    • Hi Ari! Thanks so much! 🙂 Yeah, I would definitely like to do more of this. I have a plan, but we’ll see how it goes!

Thanks for sharing your blog with us. You’re definitely one of the best!

  4. Congratulations, Rachel, on both the birthday (you must be close to mine – the 25th) and the milestone with your blog. Huge accomplishment!
I am Noelle Granger (publish under N.A. Granger) and my blog is Sayling Away.
I am a member of Rosie Amber’s book review team, and my blog is eclectic – some about me, posts from my cat, book reviews, my travels (recently circumnavigated Iceland) and other stuff as the mood strikes.
An interesting fact: I raised the insects for the movie The Silence of the Lambs.
    Here’s a recent post:
It has some nice pictures of Iceland!

    • Hey Noelle, thanks so much! 🙂 Yeah, my birthday was the first of the month.
Your blog sounds wonderful with the variety of topics. Thanks for sharing it!

    • Hi Keith! It’s very nice to meet you. Thanks for sharing your blog with us. I think that’s so awesome that you blog about such a topic especially with everything going on in the world these days.

  5. Hi, I think this is a great idea! My name is Hannah and an interesting fact about myself is I’m about to give birth to my first baby any day now! I’m so looking forward to meeting her <3

My blog is for a community of people who enjoy writing short true stories from their lives and reading the stories submitted by others. I write a prompt (along with my own story that corresponds) and then any readers can use their own blog to write their response to the prompts and leave a link to it in my comments for others to find and enjoy.
It's new so I'm still trying to build the community, but even still, I'm having a lot of fun!

  6. Hi all! Rachel, I think this a great idea as it can be very hard for new bloggers to get any exposure! I am a Canadian author who, for the time being, posts short stories under Capa Literature as I am yet to come up with a pen name that I like. One day perhaps I will publish things under my name, but for now I am a tad shy. I try and read others blogs as much as I can, which admittedly is not nearly as often as I should! Keep up the good work, and I look forward to the blog party when you reach 10k followers!
