Reading
I plan on reading four mystery novels for Mystery Month! There will be more information on that later, but there will be four mystery book reviews this month.
Writing
May is going to be another busy writing month. I’ll be working on multiple projects again.
1. Write Brave – This is my next Wattpad project. I outlined the novel last month and now I’ll begin writing the first draft.
2. Rewrite George Florence – I edited the second draft of the first book of my mystery novel series last month. I changed a lot in the story (the main death, actually) so I have a lot of rewriting to do. The good news is, after about 7 years working on this book, I finally figured out a title!
3. Write Perplexed – I’ll be writing another mystery short story for this collection.
I’ve done pretty well try to make it so each month I have an edited, outline, and/or writing project, but this month is all about writing. We’ll see how it goes.
Blogging
Blogging will resume as normal. It’s Mystery Month, but as I said, there will be a post on that in a couple days. I’ll be finishing up my May posts and then begin planning for June.
What are your plans for May? Let me know in the comments below! If you liked this post, please share it around.

I plan to finish another edit of my Casey Holland mystery novella. It’s coming along, hoping to publish it in a few months!
That’s great! Good luck with it. Editing a mystery isn’t easy. 🙂
Thank you. Not it’s not easy. I keep finding little points of logic that are either missing, or things that need clarification.
Right? I just finished editing a draft of my mystery and there were so many little clues that should or shouldn’t have been there. Plus, sometimes my characters were just dumb and completely missed something staring at them, lol.
Hope your May goes as planned.
My plans involve fitting in any reading, writing, etc, I can in between attempts at getting doctors to listen to me. Your month sounds more fun to me…
Thanks, I hope so too.
I hope you can do it! I hope you’re feeling better too and this month is smooth sailing for you.
Reblogged this on Viv Drewa – The Owl Lady.
Thanks for sharing!
Excellent goals. I find as the weather gets warmer it gets more difficult to stick with my goals of writing and editing. The time flies by and I think, didn’t I just blog, nope. It is great that you plan out your blogs, great job! 🙂
I know what you mean. I don’t want to be inside on my computer, I want to be outside in the sunny, warm weather! I do bring my notebooks and iPad outside but it’s not the same. I’d rather go swimming or go for a walk, lol.
I plan on writing a new short story. I was going to make it an exclusive sci-fi story, but got bogged down by the details. So I’m going to write it as a Contemporary story that may or may not have some sci-fi elements.
That’s not a bad plan. I hope it goes well for you! Have you already started on it or is this brand new?
This will be brand new. I’ve been researching prompts for the story for the past couple of weeks. Nothing’s screamed “Write me!” just yet. I’m working on it.
Ah, well I wish you all the best with it. 🙂
Looking forward to your mystery month posts!
Thanks! 🙂
