Reading
October is a bit of a long month, so I’ll be reading five books:
1. Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
2. American Dream by Jason Navallo
3. The Cabin by Natasha Preston
4. The Murder on the Links by Agatha Christie
5. We Should Hang Out Sometime by Josh Sunquist
Of course, those books are subject to change. Also, my Reading List was updated with September’s reviews.
Writing
1. The Lost Girl — I need to finish my read-through of what I have so far and then finish writing the first draft by the end of the month.
2. George Florence — I need to map out the entire series and write up the timeline. I’ve tried doing this a few times and each time I got dizzy with all the information. I have to finish it though… Or else those books won’t be written!
3. Prep for NaNoWriMo — I’ll be writing various short stories, but I want to have a list of prompts set up so I don’t get stuck each day.
Blogging
1. Finish October posts.
2. Get a head start on November’s posts.
3. Work on that thing for the end of November.
Overall
I have a lot planned for October. But I’m back into my day job routine so I think October will be much easier to get other work done. I have a clear goal in mind (as usual) and I have pre-NaNo excitement. So I think this will be a productive month.
What are your goals for the month? Let me know in the comments!

For once, I think you and I posted our goals on the same day. 😛
We did! Lol.
I’m so impressed by people who do nanowrimo! I could never think of anything to write on the spot! Good luck with your goals
Thank you!
I haven’t thought of any specific goals for the month. I do want to finish some of the stories I started. I guess that would be a goal, maybe publish one of them on my blog. Still debating that goal.
Best of luck with your goals.
Those sound like great goals to me! Thanks, and good luck to you as well.
That is a busy October! I hope to get ahead on my personal blog posts, update my work blog design, finish HubSpot certification for inbound marketing (not writing I know, but on my list) and flush out characters and some plot lines for a novel.
It sounds like you have your plate full too! Good luck with all of that and I hope you have a happy October. 🙂
My biggest goal for October is to entertain more (maybe because of that, I’ll blog less–who knows?) I am co-ordinating the food for a brunch for our AAUW group this coming Saturday and throwing a book party on Oct. 16th. I hope to have friends over for lunch (We eat our big meal in the middle of the day like most senior citizens) and to have many girlfriend (s) coffees. IF I can work it in, I’ll read a book a week like I usually do. Like you, I see October as a five week month, so that means an extra book…promising thought!
That’s a great goal! That’s something I have to do as well. I need more of a social life, lol. I work a lot.
Here’s to a productive October!
Cheers!
November is going to be insane.
Oh, God yeah.
But it’ll be fun.
In an insane way, yes.
Looks like it’ll be a hectic month ahead. Good luck! 🙂
I’ll be doing NaNo Prep too and I’ve planned to document that through blog posts every Friday. Apart from that, I have one week of holidays starting tomorrow, so I’ll be making the most of that to get ahead with my blog posts for the rest of the year. I really need to get the December ones done because I’ll be having exams then.
My reading goals are pretty vague. I just know I want to be done with all the books on my ‘currently reading’ shelf on Goodreads by the end of this year.
Thanks, you too!
I’m doing a Prep series in October and I’ve just about finished. I just need to make up the graphics and then I can start on my November posts. I’m so close, lol.
How many books do you have on your TBR shelf?
5 that I’ve declared as ‘currently reading’, around 20 in the ‘to-read’ shelf – I don’t think I’ll finish them all, but I really do want to get through those 5.
That’s not a bad goal to have at all.
My original plan for 2016 was to read all (or most) of the books on my shelf I have a home. Some I bought years ago and have never read. But I go to the bookstore every week and new books come out so I buy them. Plus I get author requests through my blog, so I read those… there’s just not enough time to read all the books, lol.
I can sympathize with that one. I’m sure every avid reader can. 🙂
Oh, I’m sure. 🙂
