I don’t know what’s up with the character theme this month, but here you go.
What’s the one thing that annoys your character the most? It can be a simple thing that really grinds their gears or something big that annoys most people.
How do the people around your character feel when he/she becomes annoyed?
Feel free to post your story in the comments below. I’d love to see what you come up with. If you respond by Thursday, August 25, I’ll post your story and a link to your blog for next week’s Time to Write prompt.
Happy writing!

I really need to go back to your first “Time to Write” post and start doing these exercises. They might help me where I’m having trouble with different things.
I hope they help. 🙂
I like the theme you have going on.
I do too actually, lol.
Can I expect more themes in the future? 😉
Definitely! I’ve already started planning new things for 2017, lol. I know, I’m getting way ahead of myself!
Yay! Haha, better to get ahead than fall behind.
Well, last year I started planning for the new year in December. But between the holidays and work and real life stuff, plus my writing, it was just too much. So I thought I would start really planning in October, but I’ve already started brainstorming.
Hmm a hard one. Nina loves John and wants to help him break the curse his ex from ten-years ago put upon him. But John, although he always looks out for Nina, doesn’t let her do the same for him. He is a bit of a control-freak and being cursed, it’s pretty much made him that way, but he needs to learn to let those close to him in. He can’t break the curse on his own. So Nina’s pet peeve is John, not letting her help him.
That’s a good pet peeve to have. Your characters sound very complex. 🙂
Thanks. I’m not sure, it’s hard to tell when you’re writing them. I’m learning as I go. To complex can be not so good. Thanks 🙂
You’re right. You need to be able to understand them, lol.
Oh I love this, definitely something I need to really delve into my characters more!
I hope you find it useful. 🙂
