Here’s another tag for all you lovely people!
I was tagged by the awesome Jen from Combustible Reviews. She’s a wonderful person and loves to read books. So if you’re not following her blog already, please go ahead and do so.
Without further ado, here’s the tag…
1. Have you ever damaged a book?
Of course I have! Who hasn’t? I mean, I take care of my books and I love them with my whole heart, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t clumsy. I’ve dropped my book in the bathtub before. I’ve dropped it in the snow (that was a borrowed book too). I’ve bent back the spine so much that it cracked. I’ve crinkled the pages. But this is all because I’ve used them so much.I’ve dog-
I’ve dog-earred them before, too. I don’t do that anymore, but I did want I was little. I collected bookmarks, I never used them for their actual purpose.
2. Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?
No (or not that I can remember), unless you want to count the book I dropped in the snow. But even then it just got a little wet.
3. How long does it take you to read a book?
It depends on the book and how many pages there are… and what I have to do that day. I can read a 300-page book in a day if I really put my mind to it and have nothing else to do, no where else to go. If I’m not a fan of the book then it’s going to take me a lot longer. Mostly I read about a book a week. I’ve stuck to that for over a year now.
4. Books that you haven’t finished?
Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck. I try to finish every book I start, but that one… I just couldn’t.
5. Hyped/Popular books that you don’t like?
Game of Thrones. I read the first book and it was not for me. Not at all.
6. Is there a book you wouldn’t tell anyone you were reading?
Fifty Shades of Grey. I can honestly say that I have never read it. I probably never will. Though I am curious about it because people either love it or hate it.
7. How many books do you own?
Too many to count. I mean, I could count them. But I’m too lazy for that.
8. Are you a fast reader or a slow reader?
Slow. I’ve gotten faster because I’ve been reading more, but… I’m still pretty slow.
9. Do you like to buddy read?
I’ve never done this. I don’t even know what it is. I assume it’s along the lines of a book club?
10. Do you read better in your head or out loud?
In my head. I forget to breath when I read out loud.
11. If you were only allowed to own one book, what would it be and why?
One book? That’s it? I’m sure most people who do this tag will answer this, but… I would probably take one of the Harry Potter books with me. Please don’t make me choose which one.
Do you like to read? If you do, then I tag you to answer these questions.
Have fun!
OMG I couldn’t just have one book either!
That would be awful!
Nice! I’ll like to do this tag!
Have fun with it! 🙂
Thanks. Will do!

Awesome answers. Yeah, a buddy read is just like a more informal version of a book club. I couldn’t read in the bath.
I was thinking about reading Game of Thrones this summer. I don’t know if it’ll be for me. But I’m tempted to do the tag. 😛
The tag is fun.
I read the first book of Game of Thrones for school and I didn’t like it. It was too graphic and such for me. I don’t know, I just couldn’t get into it.
You read it for school? Oh, the show is probably even more graphic. I guess I’ll try to read through the first book.
Yeah, I took a Science Fiction and Fantasy course in college. I’ve heard the show is much more graphic. Which is why I never plan on watching the show, even if I did enjoy the books.
I’m with you on the Game of Thrones books. It looked like someone trying to be J.R.R. Tolkien. If I want Tolkien, I’ll re-read the Lord of the Rings.
Lord of the Rings for the win!
But, yes. I agree. It’s just not my thing at all.
This tag looks like fun; I loved the post! I’m sitting here looking at one of my bookshelves now, trying to decide which one book I would keep.
It’s a tough decision. 😉
[…] morning everyone! I found this tag over at Rachel’s blog, Rachel Poli. She’s a pretty cool writer, so if you haven’t checked her out yet, please do […]
