Short Story Sunday 100

To celebrate 100 Short Story Sundays, I decided to write a 100-word story, a drabble!

I picked a random prompt, so I hope you enjoy.

I brushed twice a day, used mouthwash morning and night, and flossed even though I hated it. Yet I was shocked when I went to the dentist and they informed me I have four cavities in the works.

“That can’t be possible.” I told them, but they shrugged and said it is what it is.

They said I’m brushing well, using the mouthwash as often as I can, and I’m really digging deep with the floss. But even with all that work, I guess my diet wins out.

I guess that’s what happens when you work at a candy store.
