I haven’t had a prompt like this in a while.
Set a timer for 15 minutes. During this time write anything and everything that comes to your mind.
It can be a story, it can be a list, or just random thoughts that pop into your head.
This is a great way to beat writers block and to get you thinking. It really pumps up your mind.
Feel free to post your story in the comments below. I’d love to see what you come up with. If you respond by Thursday, March 17, I’ll post your story and a link to your blog for next week’s Time to Write prompt.
Happy writing!
Timed writing is interesting.
I think it helps, too.
I just don’t like timed writing in school.
That just makes you feel like you’re under too much pressure.
That’s why I panic.
I agree!
I went with an idea that came to me while I was jogging – and when I got home and cooled down, scribbled down whatever came off the top of my head in a notebook.
That’s great! I hope you found some inspiration from it. 🙂
It’s really funny, actually – I come up with my best ideas while I’m jogging!
Probably because you’re mind is clear and in the fresh air. There’s always that one special time where we come up with our best ideas. 🙂
