NaNoWriMo: Are You Ready?

NaNo Logo

November 1 is creeping up fast on us. We only have four days left before the madness begins. That’s not a lot of time to make final preparations to your novel and your mental health.

For your novel, do you have…

–A well thought-out plot?
–Fun, engaging characters?
–A realistic setting?
–An idea for the beginning?
–An idea for the ending?

Of course you don’t need to know the answer to all of those questions. That is part of the fun for NaNo, after all.

For your writing space, do you have…

–A laptop or notebook?
–Pens or pencils?
–Sticky notes or index cards?
–A snack and beverage?
–Your outline or any other notes?
–A music playlist?

There are a lot of things you may or may not need in order to sit down and write your novel. One thing I would definitely have though, would be the NaNo website handy for inspiration, motivation, encouragement, and research.

With these things in mind (and anything else you can come up with), are you ready for NaNo to start soon? As long as your excited and itching to go, I’d say you are.

  1. I’m working on my second draft this November, so I doubt I’ll hit 50000 words (although who knows). I’ll be on the NaNo site updating my word count nonetheless.

Let me know what you think!
