I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I came up with a brand new novel idea for NaNoWriMo.
Just out of the blue I thought of a whole new story–beginning, middle, end–the whole shebang.
I thought I would explain my novel to you guys and see if it piques any interest.
This isn’t a final summary. The character names might change, as well. I picked random names for the sake of the summary.
Summary:
When 20-year-old Lesley gets hits by a drunk driver, she wakes up on the last place she ever thought to be: Heaven.
An angel takes her under his wing to help her find her place in Heaven before her soul can officially rest in peace. In order to do that she needs to help the one person who hurt her the most.
Mason is 25-years-old and has no idea what direction his life is taking him. He’s made–and continues to make–a lot of mistakes. When he sobers up in a holding cell, he is devastated to learn that he struck a young woman with his car and killed her.
As a ghost on earth only being able to be seen and communicate with Mason through his dreams, Lesley must help him move on with his life, make better choices, and learn how to forgive and forget.
Because after all, everyone deserves a second chance.
I hope that summary had enough information and seemed interesting to you all. The “summary” I wrote in my notebook was more notes of what happens throughout the whole novel so I wouldn’t forget the ending and such. It contains a lot of spoilers.
So I hope that sparked your interest. I have no idea where the idea came from, but I can’t wait to start writing it in November.
11 more days!
If you’re on NaNoWriMo, look me up and feel free to add me as a writing buddy: Fiery_Sapphire.
Oh lordy! It’s too early in the morning (late in the evenin’ for me) to be cryin’. No! Why do you have to tug my heart strings so?!? This sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun though. 🙂
Yeah, I know. I have no idea where this idea came from or why it revolves around death… But I’m glad it sounds good, lol.
Wow that sounds like an amazing story already. I would read it, and to have so much already from just a thought molding into a story. I’m really excited for you!
My interest is definitely piqued.
11 More days!!
Thank you! I’m glad you like it. Good luck with your NaNo! 🙂
Sounds like a really good and solid idea for a heart-touching story, Rachel 🙂
Thank you. I hope it turns out that way. 🙂
I think this is a wonderful story for nanowrimo. Good luck.

Thank you! 🙂
You’ve got your work cut out for you. I’m definitely interested, especially in how you’ll resolve this. Good luck. You’ll be having lots of fun this November that’s for sure.
I already know how it’s going to end. I just hope it works out! Thanks. 🙂
That is so cool! I hope I can read it someday!
My novel for NaNo also pertains to angels and Heaven but in a completely different way. Good luck on it!
Thanks! That’s interesting. What’s yours about?
It follows a woman who is taken to heaven right before she died and it triggers the End of Times. Angels attempt to train her in the battle for the souls, but there are many important secrets they keep from her.
Sorry my plot line is still very muddy. I’m also crap at summaries. 🙂
No, that sounds really good! I would totally read it. I’m Fiery_Sapphire on NaNo, if you want to add me as a writing buddy.
This sounds like such an interesting novel! I would definitely read that if I came upon it at a bookstore. 🙂 Good luck!
Glad it sounds good! Thanks. 🙂
I want to read the story now. 😛
Maybe you will someday!
It’d be an honour.
