She was doing well all year long. She hadn’t gotten sick once. She maintained her health quite nicely. She never missed a day of work and was always able to keep working on personal projects at home. It was rare she took a break.
Now she woke up that morning with a stuffy nose, her head pounding, and her voice going no higher than a soft whisper. She tried to get out of bed, but the room spun around her. She didn’t want to call out of work, but she had no choice. It was finally catching up to her.
Wow, that was short… Too bad for my sister, that her version of this real like short story didn’t culminate so quickly. 🙂
It’s a drabble, 100 words. 🙂
Sounds like she works too hard. 😛
Must be. 🙂
Probably also a writer at heart.
This is always the way it goes, if you ask me. A person doesn’t catch a virus for a long time, and when they do – whammo! It’s a doozy.
I think that’s what’s happening to me right now, lol.
